India's Ph.D. Research Fellowship for ASEAN Nationals, Deadline 31 March 2021

The government of India provides 1000 Ph.D. Research Fellowships for nationals exclusively from ten ASEAN countries. The fellowship programme was launched at the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit, in New Delhi, 2018. The next (third) round of fellowship application is open for submission till 31 March 2021.

The application can be summited online at https://asean-iit.in/. The selection process is conducted entirely online.

As mentioned on its website, "The internationally renowned Institutions in technical education, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are inviting scholars from ASEAN countries to apply for Ph.D. fellowships to strengthen the deep and historical relations between India and ASEAN."

IITs is a very prestigious educational institution in India with various branches in Indian states. Even though it is the IITs that seems only focused on information and technology, the institute provides a wide range of research disciplines under various departments.
