Cambodia-India Scholarship Awareness Forum 2019



Cambodia-India Scholarship Awareness Forum 2019 organised by Indian Embassy in Phnom Penh in collaboration with the University of Cambodia, Phnom Penh, on 10 January 2019.

Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) an autonomous organization of Government of India has the objective of participating in the formulation and implementation of policies and programmes relating to India’s external cultural relations and promoting cultural exchange with other countries and peoples among other objectives. It administers scholarship schemes for foreign students for studies in India on an annual basis to international students.

25 scholarships for under-graduate, post-graduate and higher studies in India are available for Cambodian students under the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation programme (10), General Cultural Scholarship Scheme (13) and Cultural Exchange Programme (02) every year.

India has also offered to receive 2 Buddhist monks/scholars under the Distinguished Visitor's Programme.

Similarly, prestigious Nalanda University offers two slots every year for post-graduation under CLMV Scholarship Programme. Recently, ICCR has started scholarship scheme for Indian classical dance and music courses under India's old-age Guru-Shishya Parampara (Teacher-Pupil Tradition).
