The Moc Bai - Bavet border between Cambodia and Vietnam is a very popular route for travellers and tourists. Moc Bai - Bavet border crossing point is about 65.8 km away from Ho Chi Minh city and it takes about 2 hours, and 164.4 km distance from Phnom Penh which takes roughly 7 hours by bus. A host of bus companies ply the route, taking you between Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City.

For Cambodian and Vietnamese, 15 days tourist visa stamp is given at the border for free. For foreign non-ASEAN citizen, however, they need to apply online e-Visa or get visa granted in advance from embassy for ease of border crossing.
